About Cameron

I’m a licensed therapist. I work with adults and teens in Oakland and virtually throughout all of California.

I help anxious teens and adults live courageously in their lives and relationships.

I also help men learn skills to have better relationships.

I do both of these using evidence-based therapies - therapies that research shows work.

Let me say a little more about each.

Helping teens live courageously

I know firsthand how crucial it is for teens to learn the skills to overcome their anxiety. When teens don’t learn these skills, they wind up avoiding the very situations that can help them grow and develop - friendships, school, college, etc.

Instead, I help teens learn to face their fears and do the stuff they care about even when anxiety shows up.

Helping adults live courageously

I work with adults who are sick of anxiety controlling their life. Adults who know firsthand that when you let anxiety call the shots, your life gets very small. Adults who are tired of trading parts of their life for short-term relief.

Courage doesn’t mean never having anxiety. Courage means doing what matters to you even when you feel anxious, afraid, or uncertain.

It’s never too late to learn to live courageously. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help adults take back their lives.

Helping men have better relationships

I work with men who:

  • Don’t know how to relate openly or effectively with others

  • Feel isolated, even in their relationships

  • Don’t feel like anyone else really knows who they are

  • Want to learn to have closer and more authentic relationships

  • Want to be better husbands, fathers, and friends to those in their lives

I’m also starting to organize a men’s therapy group. This is a great way to build relating skills with other men who are also committed to growing. Reach out if you’re interested in joining or learning more.

More about Cameron

I’m a lifelong student of living courageously and having good relationships. This doesn’t mean I always succeed at it - it means I’m always learning.

I live in Oakland with my wife, who is also a therapist.

Cameron’s experience

I’ve worked with:

  • High-performing adults in the Bay Area - (Two Chairs)

  • Teens and adolescents at an alternative high school in the East Bay - (Holden High School)

  • Teens and their families involved with the Juvenile Justice System - (Lincoln’s MDFT Program)

  • Children and their families - (Lincoln’s HOPE Program)

I attended a Men Against Violence group for three years in college, and facilitated the group for the final year. I also volunteered with a domestic violence hotline and worked at a women's shelter in my early twenties. I pay close attention to themes of consent and safety as they play out in therapy.
